COS

Editorial Microsite

As publishing increasingly expanded beyond print, digital experiences became an opportunity to extend editorial storytelling beyond the page. For the launch of its first book, Creating With Shapes, COS commissioned a microsite to promote both the publication and a clothing collection inspired by Usha Doshi's geometric approach to garment construction.

The book explored Doshi's method of using simple geometric forms to create intricate folds, drapes and pleats — techniques that also informed the accompanying collection. The challenge was to create a digital experience that connected the thinking behind the garments with the collection itself, allowing editorial content and commerce to reinforce one another.

Navigation echoed the tactile rhythm of turning pages, encouraging visitors to explore the ideas before discovering the collection. A restrained interface kept the focus on the content, ensuring editorial and commercial moments felt like parts of the same narrative.

The result was a cohesive digital extension of the publication, translating the book's considered pace and minimalist aesthetic into an experience that connected story, product and brand.

“I encourage my students to never give up on their ideas – no matter how ambitious – because there are always solutions to everything.”
